Community programme for employment and solidarity - PROGRESS (2007-2013)

The aim of the future PROGRESS programme is to provide financial support for the implementation of the European Union's objectives in the field of employment and social affairs. It will thus contribute to the achievement of the Lisbon Strategy objectives. PROGRESS, the budget for which is 743 million, will finance analysis, mutual learning, awareness-raising and dissemination activities, as well as assistance for the main players over the period 2007-2013. The programme will be divided into five sections corresponding to five main fields of activity: employment, social protection and inclusion, working conditions, diversity and combating discrimination, and equality between women and men.

Programme communautaire pour l’emploi et la solidaritè - PROGRESS (2007-2013)

Le programme PROGRESS a pour objet d'apporter une aide financière à la mise en Å“uvre des objectifs de l’Union europèenne dans le domaine de l’emploi et des affaires sociales. Il contribue ainsi à la rèalisation des objectifs de la stratègie de Lisbonne. Dotè d'un budget de 743 millions d'euros, PROGRESS financera des activitès d'analyse et d'apprentissage mutuel, de sensibilisation et de diffusion ainsi que des aides aux principaux acteurs pour la pèriode 2007-2013. Le programme sera divisè en cinq sections correspondant à cinq grands domaines d'activitè : l’emploi, la protection et l’inclusion sociales, les conditions de travail, la lutte contre la discrimination et la diversitè, ainsi que l’ègalitè hommes-femmes

Gemeinschaftsprogramm für Beschäftigung und soziale Solidarität - PROGRESS (2007-2013)

Mit dem Programm PROGRESS soll die Verwirklichung der Ziele der Europäischen Union im Bereich Beschäftigung und Soziales finanziell unterstützt werden. Das Programm trägt somit zum Erreichen der Vorgaben der Lissabon-Strategie bei. Mit einer Mittelausstattung in Höhe von 743 Millionen EUR finanziert PROGRESS analytische Aktivitäten, Aktivitäten in den Bereichen wechselseitiges Lernen, Sensibilisierung und Verbreitung sowie Zuschüsse für die Hauptakteure im Zeitraum 2007-2013. Das Programm wird in fünf Abschnitte unterteilt, die fünf wichtigen Tätigkeitsbereichen entsprechen: Beschäftigung, Sozialschutz und soziale Integration, Arbeitsbedingungen, Nichtdiskriminierung und Vielfalt sowie Gleichstellung der Geschlechter.

El programa Progress tiene por objeto aportar ayuda financiera a la realización de los objetivos de la Unión Europea en el ámbito del empleo y los asuntos sociales. Contribuye así al logro de los objetivos de la Estrategia de Lisboa. Con un presupuesto de 743 millones de euros, Progress financiará actividades de análisis y aprendizaje mutuo, de sensibilización y de difusión, además de ayudas a los principales actores, durante el período 2007-2013. El programa estará dividido en cinco secciones que corresponden a cinco ámbitos de acción principales: empleo, protección e integración social, condiciones de trabajo, no discriminación y diversidad e igualdad de gènero.

Il futuro programma PROGRESS si prefigge di fornire un aiuto finanziario all’attuazione degli obiettivi dell’Unione europea nel settore dell’occupazione e degli affari sociali. Esso contribuisce pertanto alla realizzazione degli obiettivi della strategia di Lisbona. Le attività di analisi e di apprendimento reciproco, le attività di sensibilizzazione e di diffusione, nonchè l’aiuto agli operatori principali vengono finanziati tramite PROGRESS che dispone di un bilancio pari a 743 milioni di euro per il periodo 2007-2013. Il programma si articolerà in cinque sezioni distinte corrispondenti ai cinque grandi settori di attività : l’occupazione, la protezione e l’inserimento sociale, le condizioni di lavoro, la lotta contro la discriminazione e la diversità , nonchè l’uguaglianza fra donne e uomini.

Chemicals: New European Commission determined to make REACH a success

Vice President Tajani and Commissioner Poto?nik have swiftly followed up on their undertaking given during their Hearings in the European Parliament by together visiting the European Chemicals Agency, ECHA, in Helsinki on 25 March. They are taking action to make progress towards the registration of chemicals and the management of substances of very high concern. Of particular importance is the smooth implementation of the registration of high-volume chemicals by the REACH deadline of 30 November 2010 by implementing solutions to practical problems to support industrys work, in particular SMEs. Both Commissioners also announced their common approach on the identification and management of substances of very high concern. They also welcomed progress on the translation of the guidelines for the implementation of REACH. Both commissioners underlined their commitment to the success of REACH, the European Chemicals Regulation.
