Parma, 9 maggio 2018 - Da mercoledì 16 a venerdì 18 maggio Parma ospiterà il convegno annuale dell’European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy (EAFP), co-organizzato dal Dipartimento di Scienze degli Alimenti e del Farmaco dell’Università di Parma.
Chair del Convegno sarà Patrizia Santi, docente del nostro Ateneo, che da tempo si occupa dei temi legati alla formazione del farmacista, avendo ricoperto il ruolo di presidente del Corso di Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo unico in Chimica e Tecnologia Farmaceutiche e di Direttore del Dipartimento di Farmacia. Fanno parte del Comitato Scientifico anche Lilian Azzopardi (Presidente della EAFP, Università di Malta, Malta), Paolo Colombo (Professore Emerito, Università di Parma), Andries S. Koster (Università di Utrecht, Olanda), Luis Recalde (Università di Granada, Spagna) e Dimitrios M. Rekkas (Università di Atene, Grecia).
L’EAFP è da sempre impegnata nel definire il ruolo e la formazione del farmacista nelle sue diverse declinazioni, dalla farmacia territoriale alla farmacia ospedaliera e clinica, alla farmacia industriale e agli aspetti regolatori. L’EAFP, della quale l’Università di Parma fa parte da molti anni, rappresenta un punto di riferimento internazionale per i suoi membri, per renderli partecipi dei cambiamenti in atto nella professione, per pianificare il futuro e per far fronte alle sfide che garantiscono elevati standard di formazione dei laureati.
Il convegno annuale, giunto alla sua ventiseiesima edizione, ha come tema specifico Pharmacy education: towards pharmaceutical sciences, ossia la formazione industriale del farmacista.Il Convegno sarà preceduto dal Workshop Medicines for rare diseases, dedicato ai farmaci per il trattamento delle malattie rare.
Il convegno si svolgerà nel Palazzo Centrale dell’Università di Parma (16 maggio) e nel Centro Congressi del Plesso Aule delle Scienze presso il Campus Universitario (17 e 18 maggio).
