ANOTHER ATTACK IN RAMADI

IRAQ Misna on Ladysilvia; At least 25 people were killed and over forty wounded after a truck bomb exploded in Ramadi, which suffered two similar attacks yesterday leaving at least 12 dead. According to sources from the police in the province of al-Anbar, of which Ramadi is the capital.

The explosion took place near a football field and a market in the eastern part of the city while a police patrol was approaching. The police has been on alert since yesterday after it had been informed of the potential presence of suicide bombers in the city.

Also today, via a communiquè issued on Internet, an organization calling itself “The Islamic State in Iraq” has claimed responsibility for yesterday’s bombing attack against a restaurant near Baghdad’s Green Zone, which killed six people, and wounded 14. The same group claimed responsibility for a suicide attack in Baquba that killed nine US soldiers.
